ALSIM proudly announces, during APATS 2026 in Bangkok, that Airbus Asia Training Centre (AATC), a joint venture between Airbus and Singapore Airlines, has selected the ALSIM Airliner to support airline pilot training programs delivered in collaboration with Singapore Flying College (SFC). This milestone marks a significant step in the evolution of the Airliner simulator and has led to developments that will strengthen competency-based training for future airline pilots.

By combining ALSIM’s innovative hybrid technology with the specific training objectives of AATC and the Singapore Flying College, we have created a highly versatile and realistic training environment. The Airliner is an FNPT II MCC simulator designed to support competency-based airline pilot training through a flexible and realistic training environment. One of its key features is its reconfigurable cockpit, which can replicate either a generic fly-by-wire aircraft with sidestick controls or a conventional aircraft with a control yoke, allowing training organizations to support different airline philosophies while maximizing simulator utilization.
Equipped with a collimated visual system, the Airliner provides the visual cues and depth perception required for demanding airline training scenarios such as manual handling, approaches, and landings, delivering a highly immersive training experience.
Developed in close collaboration with AATC for over a year, the Airliner has been enhanced to meet the organization’s operational and training requirements. The project included the implementation of MPL Phase 2 training capabilities, a new Instructor Operating Station (IOS), and several software features designed to improve instructor efficiency, simplify training session management and support competency-based training.
This collaborative approach has resulted in significant enhancements to the Airliner platform, strengthening its ability to support modern airline pilot training while bringing lasting value to future operators. Many of these developments will become standard features of the Airliner, reinforcing ALSIM’s commitment to innovation and customer-driven product development.
