Today marks an important milestone for SFC Sydney Flight College, and for our academy here in Tamworth. The introduction of the Airliner simulator represents the final piece in delivering our complete airline pilot training pathway.

The Airliner is an FNPT II MCC–certified hybrid simulator that combines fly-by-wire and conventional flight controls, offering the ideal platform for APS MCC and MPL Phase II advanced training. Purpose-built around APS MCC learning objectives, it develops key airline competencies such as automation management, crew coordination, leadership, and threat and error management. Its generic airliner design provides greater flexibility and broader skill transfer, ensuring trainees are confidently prepared for airline pilot operations and able to transition smoothly into any type rating, regardless of aircraft type.
