Alsim, the well-known fixed base simulator manufacturer is officially opening a new office in Austin, Texas (USA), due to growing market demand overseas. Alsim, a 23-year old company, is having great success with its new device the AL250, America is an important target for the company. Alsim already has numerous clients in the USA and Canada and aims to strengthen its presence thanks to this new office in the region.
Dr Scott Firsing is appointed Alsim Americas sales and business development associate based at Alsim’s new USA office. Passionate about aviation and education, Dr Firsing worked as an executive for Aerospace Defense Systems Inc located in South Carolina, as well as taught at the University of North Carolina, The Citadel and other higher education institutions. Prior to these roles, he spent over 10 years living in South Africa. While there, he served as a Senior Lecturer and Head of the International Studies department at Monash University, was a former assistant to the chairman of Africa’s largest privately owned defence/aerospace company Paramount Group and co-founded an American high school focused on aviation and space called the Aerospace Leadership Academy.
Dr Firsing is the graduate of prestigious schools such as the London School of Economics and Political Science and Rutgers University. He has won numerous awards in research, teaching and community engagement, and has frequented contributed analysis on international relations and the aerospace sector to global media such as AFP, Al-Jazeera, AP, BBC, CNBC Africa and others. On a personal point of view, he is proud father of 2 wonderful daughters.
Alsim is also recruiting a Junior Marketing Manager for this region, in order to support Sales and enhance company’s awareness in these countries.
Lastly, in order to ensure peace of mind to its clients and continue to offer local service, Alsim also now offers US-based After Sales support, covering after sales support for customers in USA Canada and Latin America. This will guarantee reactivity to Alsim’s North & South American customers, providing high quality of service.
