ALSIM and US Aviation

ALSIM is proud to announce a major milestone with the development of its first Flight Training Device (FTD) Level 6 simulator, marking a significant advancement in its training solutions portfolio. This achievement is accompanied by a landmark order from US Aviation Academy for five ALSIM P2006T MKII simulators, faithfully replicating the Tecnam P2006T MKII aircraft.

“US Aviation Academy chose to partner with ALSIM for their extensive experience with Tecnam aircraft and reputation for quality. This investment is the next step in our training evolution to a simulator first mindset. Tasks are learned and mastered in the simulator before entering the cockpit.

This agreement represents a strong vote of confidence in ALSIM’s technology and expertise, and establishes the foundation for a new partnership focused on delivering high-quality pilot training.

The ALSIM P2006T MKII simulator is a high-fidelity twin-engine training device replicating the Tecnam P2006T MKII aircraft integrating dual original Garmin G1000 avionics for an authentic cockpit experience. Its 3D-scanned cockpit and flight model developed from dedicated flight test data ensure accurate reproduction of the aircraft’s behaviour.

The simulator is developed in compliance with FTD Level 6 certification requirements and reflects an advanced level of realism and performance, enabling flight schools and training organizations to provide highly immersive and cost-effective training.

The solution is complemented by the ALSIM dual-screen IOS and the VFR-VS image generator, providing instructors with efficient control and a consistent visual environment for multi-engine training.

With this latest development, ALSIM continues to expand its portfolio of innovative simulation solutions to meet the evolving needs of the aviation industry.

Mickaël Hérard, Product Manager at ALSIM, states: “The development of the Tecnam P2006T MKII simulator reflects a new level of technical ambition for ALSIM, with the objective of delivering our first device qualified at FAA FTD Level 6. This program is focused on pushing fidelity further, particularly in multi-engine systems behavior and overall training realism. It also demonstrates our ability to address more complex aircraft platforms with a high level of accuracy and consistency. We are particularly proud of our teams, whose expertise and dedication have made this milestone possible.”
