Instructor's Station

The instructor's station is a valuable complement to the flight trainer and an irreplaceable assistant for the instructor.

Due to its graphical user-friendly interface, the instructor's station can be operated with a mouse or touch screen and allows for intuitive instruction.

All the functions of the instructor's station are standard and are easily accessible via buttons. The program is 'auto configurable'. All the changes made by the user are stored.

The instructor can define and save departure situations and any other parameters such as: weather conditions, quickly and efficiently position the airplane and activate engine failure anytime during the flight.

The station also contains a menu that includes: a full set of functions that helps the instructor to move the aircraft, both geographically or from navigation data reference.

 Map and Side View

The buttons on the right-hand side of the menu: allows the instructor to move the aircraft and zoom in and out on the map.

 Failure Menu

The failure menu: allows for launch failures of each of the aircraft's systems and navigation beacons. Aircraft failures are specific to each type of plane.

 Replay Module

The replay module lets the instructor review all daily sessions in order to analyse and correct student's errors. Sessions are automatically recorded during the day and the instructor can replay them one by one.

 Database Update

The database is entirely accessible to the instructor.

Any database elements and their characteristics can be added, deleted or updated by the instructor. (ex: runways, markers, ILS, ADF, VOR, DME.)

Alsim provides a service to update the navigation database. We recommend a Jeppesen based, database update - every three months.
