The AL50's highly-refined design characteristics, offer an effective and economic answer to pedagogical needs for initial pilot training and for maintaining and developing pilot skills.

The AL50 consists of the following main elements:

• Single-seater cabin with adjustable seat.
• Control columns with brakes.
• Steering wheel with electrical height compensation.
• Control panel with all instrumentation.
• Instructor's station with printer, desk and seat.
• Projected visual system (option).

The AL50 retains the technical characteristics of Alsim simulators (TFT screens, simple and sturdy mechanical systems, intuitive instructor's station) and has been designed for rapid, flexible installation.

The canopy slides to the rear for easy access. The cockpit represents a single-pilot cockpit and features the characteristics of a single-engine (piston engine) airplane.

Situated next to the cockpit, the instructor's station enables the instructor to conduct simulations with multiple software menus. The instructor can display and position the aircraft in flight, control weather conditions, simulate breakdowns and access preprogrammed flight sequences.

The flight model mirrors the general characteristics of a single piston engine aircraft.

Flight Models Available on the simulator :

• The SEP 100 replicates the performance of the classic 100hp twin seater, used at the start of a PPL course. It replicates aircraft like the Piper PA-38 Tomahawk, Robin DR400 2+2 Dauphin, HR200 and the Cessna C152.
• The SEP 135 is representative of the complex IFR aircraft and used at the end of training. It replicates the performance of aircraft like the M20J, Cessna C182 RG and Socata TB20 Trinidad.

Visual System

There are three projection systems available:

• Frontal projected visual system
• Wrap around visual system 185°
• Wrap around visual system 270°
