Pacific Flying Club is the largest flight training centre in Western Canada with a fleet of 23 aircraft. In partnership with BCIT, PFC offers the flight training component of BCIT’s Airline & Flight Operations Program.

"Our partnership with " BCIT Program Advisory Committee" has recommended the introduction of a multi crew component into the program as well as the integration of more sophisticated simulation into both the private and commercial training – this will allow us to do so and take this program to a new level" said Clark Duimel, Director Flight Operations of the Club.

"With the introduction of this level of simulation to PFC, the Club will move to the forefront of IFR training in Vancouver".

The Club looks forward to integrating the AL200 MCC into all levels of its flight training and introducing all students from the recreational student to the instructor candidate to its superb training characteristics and superior visuals.

"The acquisition of this technology will allow Pacific Flying Club to expand its revenue base and ensure our students are given access to the best training available in today’s flight training market. We anticipate offering the AL200 MCC to other companies that will want to also take advantage of the Level 5 FTD capabilities for both initial and recurrent training for their pilots" added Pat Kennedy, Chief Operating Officer of the Club. "From a business perspective, the AL200 MCC makes sense particularly with the weather patterns of the West Coast".

The Club looks forward to Transport Canada’s forthcoming approval of the AL200 MCC for recurrency rides for the Instrument rating.
"Suddenly an IFR pilot is not at the mercy of icing levels or restricted slot times in busy times" added Duimel.

A full launch party and Open House is slated for the Club when the AL200MCC Simulator arrives in June.
