The Aeronautics Department of Andrews University recently welcomed the arrival of two new Alsim flight FTDs. Andrews University is the first institution in North America to purchase this particular brand of FTD (flight training device).
Given the 'performance reviews,’ these ‘state-of the art' simulators explain why Alsim has become the European leader of flight training devices.
After careful consideration and a visit to France to test fly the trainers, Andrews decided that the AL200 MCC, an 18 flight model reconfigurable device and a Cessna 172 Garmin 1000 glass cockpit trainer would be best suited for their training environment. Combining technology with innovation, these state of the art trainers are years ahead of the competition.
“I've never seen anything like it!” exclaimed Jim Doran, Andrews Chief Flight Instructor.
“These simulators give us the ability to teach in an advanced cockpit in all conditions.” affirmed Allan Payne, Andrews Department Chair.
With these advanced FTDs Andrews University is equipped with the most cost effective and technologically advanced solution for all private and commercial licenses, instrument rating, and transitional courses. These FTDs are currently being certified by the FAA as AATD's. Initial responses have been overwhelming enthusiastic.
