Visual System
The visual system is very important for 'quality training'. Therefore Alsim developed specific software and hardware to create the most realistic visual system for its Flight Training Devices. This system is so effective, it has been chosen by Airbus to update their A320 fixed based simulator.
Terrain, Coastal Lines & Textures
The relief database is derived from the Globe project of the NGDC (National Geophysical Data Center). It has a one kilometer based elevation database. Coastal lines, lakes and islands are also included.
The standard relief database of runways include countries from: 30°N to 70°N and from 10°W to 30°E. Additional countries are also available. All textures used are generic and represent: towns, fields, forests, deserts, mountains, snow, lakes, oceans, swamps, islands.
