International Aero Training Academy based in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, has ordered an AL200-DA42 simulator with 180° panoramic vision and Alsim XPVS visual software.
An exact replica of the DA42 aircraft, this new device will complement the academy’s capital training program.
Equipped with Diamond aircraft, an Alsim simulator and brand new premises, the academy will base its organisation on an airline-type training philosophy, using similar operating rules to the airlines and relying on a skilled team of instructors with a wide range of experience.
IATA’s management explains: “Our second growth phase is planned for 2011, when IATA will take delivery of 11 new planes. We are confident that this will allow us to meet the growing training demands from China and the Arab states for new students and instructors.
Our new training approach has already generated great interest and we want to put a structure in place quickly but efficiently, so that we are able to offer the very best service to our clients.”
IATA currently trains students for the Malaysian and American (FAA) licences and works in partnership with other training schools for European (JAA) licences.
